I think I have been in training my entire life to do this, I just didn’t know it!

From my first dog at four years of age I was in heaven. She was my best friend and I wanted to be with her all of the time. Not much has changed in that regard all these years later. I was lucky to grow up in a pet loving family where we had a variety of animals and I have always loved animals.

I worked for many years in the corporate world managing a team of people in a 24 hour x 7 day a week environment, where a high level of customer service was required for high profile clients. After running K9 Walkers for over a decade I completed a Diploma of Business.

My love for and experience with animals along with my team management and customer service skills have all come together and proven invaluable to establish and run K9 Walkers. I was a trained volunteer participating in the SPOT program for three years, visiting school children to educate them about pet care and how to interact with dogs safely without being bitten. I was also a foster carer with Australian Working Dog Rescue for a few years.

I am rather particular about the people who work for K9 Walkers and I am proud that we have a wonderful group of caring pet loving professionals. They demonstrate to both myself and our clients regularly how dedicated they are to pets in their care. When clients tell me both they and their pets love their carer or walker, or that they are the best, I know the business is operating at the high standard I want it to and it cannot do that without awesome people.

Detailed information is taken about your pets and each pet has their own file.
Your walker or carer has access to your pet’s file through a secure application on their phone.
We use specialised pet care software using GPS checkin and checkout for walks and visits.
Keys that are supplied to us will have a K9 Walkers tag attached to them, with our phone number and a unique ID number only.

We have established a K9 Walkers Pet Tag Register which is a free service for our clients. A tag is attached permanently to a pet’s collar and contains our contact number. It has helped get several clients’ lost pets home quickly and safely.
Access to both the Key Tag Register and Pet Tag Register are password protected.
We can stay overnight in your home with pets that require extra company.
We have many happy and repeat customers.
Customers are referred to us by their family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues, vets and other pet industry professionals.
As K9 Walkers is passionate about pets and dogs in particular, we have been involved in a number of initiatives within the community. This has included fostering, volunteering at the pound, fund raising for rescue groups and campaigning for quality dog friendly areas on the Central Coast.
K9 Walkers was the driving force behind the Central Coast’s first fully fenced dog park which opened at Tuggerah in January 2013.
We are dedicated to continuous learning and training in both pet care, dog training and small business management and have a particular interest in canine nutrition and natural treatments.
